The objective of this agreement is the implementation of an Environmental Management Program for Recyclable Solid Waste throughout Caacupe-mí Offices and their Facilities, as well as, recyclable waste to the PROCICLA project, managed by GEAM, all this is within the framework of the Social and Environmental Responsibility principles of the port.
It is part of the port’s CSR policies, that seek to raise awareness among professional persons and official bodies by collaborating with PROCICLA, which enables the social and economic inclusion of waste recyclers in Asunción.
A process of segregation of recyclable waste from the facilities was realised by means of differentiated containers in the courtyards, one such other was exclusively for paper recycling within the administrative offices, afterwards the company arranged for a specific pick-up point where the Selective Collection System made by GEAM for its PROCICLA Project were removed.
